FORT STANTON CAVE Is a very large cave system. Legend has it that it actually connects with Carlsbad Caverns. It is not a "commercial cave". Entry is by permit only through the BLM office in Roswell. (505) 827-0272 Only for experienced "cave crawlers" but if you have the experience and desire it is worth a couple days exploration.
