CARRIZOZO Is the County Seat of Lincoln County, approximately 35 miles Northwest of Ruidoso. A few miles to the west of Carrizozo is the "Valley of Fires" one of the most recent lava flows in the continental U.S. . North and east of Carrizozo is the old mining boom town of White Oaks.
