Sierra Blanca.
Same, but wide angle.
Same but telephoto.
This group of photos are of Sierra Blanca from Highway 70, just
east of Apache Summit. Photos from this spot have been published thousands
of times- Here is my contribution:

Antelope at Bingham, NM, About 45 miles west of Ruidoso.
Some more photos of White Sands, a world famous National
Monument about 55 miles southwest of Ruidoso. A "Dune Sea"
of nearly pure selenite sand, (Selenite is the crystalline form of gypsum,
[Calcium Sulfate].) White Sands is the best beach within 800 miles.
{No ocean though!}

Most of these photos are of the very southern edge of the area, In the
interior of the dunes, there is almost no vegetation other than an occasional
Yucca plant, Mesquite or Creosote bush.
